Grading
Grading is based upon completion of daily take-home assignments, notebook
quizzes, projects, quizzes and tests. Students who fail to complete
assignments will be required to come to a 7:30 AM assignment session in
order to complete the missing assignment. A 7:30 AM assignment session may
be avoided by completing the late assignment and any paperwork requiring a
parent/guardian signature before the date of the session. Failure to attend
a required session (in the event that the student did not complete the
assignment or submit parent/guardian signature) will result in a 4:15
detention.
Late assignments will not receive full credit. A student who turns in an
assignment on time deserves to have a higher grade than a student who has
not turned in that same assignment on time. An assignment turned in late is
considered a remediated assignment. To avoid major late penalties,
assignments are to be completed on time.
