This 7th grade course underwent a major overhaul during the 2010-11 school year. A lot of exciting new things are taking place! You can check out the information here to learn about what it is students are learning in this class, or, if you are a student, you can use some of the resources here to finish activities you did not finish in class!
What will they learn?
Introduction to Technology starts off using a Lab-Volt TechLab Module titled, "Introduction to Technology". This module is intended to get students started off thinking about the world of technology that is all around them.
The remainder of the course uses a number of Engineering by Design curriculum materials. A combination of a few EbD courses has been assembled to fit the course schedule including Exploring Technology and Packing Up for the Moon. Click here for information concerning Engineering by Design.

CyberBullying is a hot topic right now, and is one that I consider to be of extreme importance for the well being of my students. As a parent and teacher, bullying is an issue that I take very seriously and am always looking for new resources. Here are a few of the best I have reviewed lately:
- Common Sense
- STOP CyberBullying
- CyberBully Guide
- Make a Difference for Kids
- Cyberbully Research Center
Thanks also to Mrs. Baranowski's Technology Class from the Colonial Academy for suggesting a few of the resources above! Keep up the great work!
