Welcome to My Classroom Website!
This website has been created as a resource for all of my Technology & Engineering Education classes. Whether or not you are currently one of my students, you can use the resources and links provided here on this site to learn more about each of the classes. You can also find resources to complete in class or out of class assignments. Finally, you can also use the resources here to further your understanding of the technological world, the human-made technological world, in which we all live.
If you are a parent, grandparent or a member of the local or even world community, please feel free to browse the site for any useful material you may need. Please take the time to learn about what we believe here in our department including our goals and mission.
Students in my classes will take part in innovative hands-on lessons to learn the concepts and roles of engineering, design, invention, and innovation in creating the technological systems that help make life easier and better, while having fun along the way. They will learn to apply and transfer this new knowledge to problems, some common every day problems and some not so common... Students will often learn how to assess various technology including their impacts, both positive and negative. Wherever possible, these activities will be S.T.E.M. related to help students understand that everything they learn in school can be related to real-world situations, everything.
Technology & Engineering Education?
It should be obvious, today we live in an ever growing technological world. This requires every individual have more than a basic ability to read, write and perform simple mathematics. Technology is all around us, and represents probably 98% of what we interact with in our day to day lives. Technology enabling us all to perform routine tasks which requires us to be able to make responsible, informed decisions. These decisions affect ourselves as well as other individuals, our society, and the environment. Responsible citizens of today must have a basic understanding of how technology affects their world and how they exist both within and around technology. So, Technology & Engineering Education is a subject that leads to Technological Literacy in our students.
Technological literacy is something that is fundamentally important to all students young and old. Technological processes have become so complex that our community and schools must collaborate to provide a quality technology and engineering program that prepares students for a changing technological world that is progressively more dependent on an informed, technologically literate citizenry to compete in the interconnected and competitive global economy.

This site has been in existence for about 10 years, and honestly it was time for an update. Some of the course related content is being updated at this time to reflect the newly revamp course curriculum and some parts of the site may take a little to get up and running. Thanks for your patience.
Your feedback and comments on the new layout are always welcome.
