LIBRARY MISSION STATEMENT

The FASD Elementary School Libraries  maintain a multi-ethic, multi-media collection to support the curriculum, district goals, and the diverse needs and learning styles of the students as well as the teaching styles of the faculty. The library media program assists students and faculty in identifying, locating, evaluating, and using needed library materials in a variety of forms. The program is designed to assist students with their curricular, informational, and recreational needs. In addition, the library program works to develop a positive attitude toward libraries and information resources, promotes the life-long use of libraries, and  helps students stay informed in a rapidly changing world. The library program also includes publicizing the appreciation of reading to the community at large, especially encouraging parental support of the library's direction towards the cultural, aesthetic, and ethical development of all its patrons.
