History of Willow Creek Elementary

Willow Creek Elementary had its ground breaking ceremony in May of 2008. It opened its doors for the start of the 2009-2010 school year as a replacement for Fleetwood Elementary School, and now houses not only students who previously attended Fleetwood, but also students from both Andrew Maier Elementary and Richmond Elementary who were reassigned redistricting that took place at the end of the 2008-09 school year. The need for this building came about due to the population growth that Fleetwood has continued to face since the 1990's which has created the need for more space at the elementary grade levels. To make room for this, as well as future growth, Willow Creek Elementary was built at 605 Crisscross Road on the outskirts of Fleetwood and was dedicated in October of 2009.

In addition to 44 classrooms, the new building features: an cafetorium; a gymnasium; a library; computer labs; as well as art and music classrooms.

The upgraded facilities and technology compliment the administration and staff's commitment to excellence as they work with continued community support to investigate and implement effective educational practices.
