FBLA Regional Leadership Conference

Congratulations to the FBLA members that placed at the Regional Leadership Conference yesterday at Kutztown University. Our chapter had 105 members attend and 98 members compete. Of those, 85 placed in the top 5 of their event, and 63 advanced to the state level of competition.  (Click on "read more" for the list of students and their awards.)

1st PLACE DeSales University’s Winner

FAHS junior, Aliyah Levy, was accompanied by her English and Creative Writing teacher, Mrs. Wilkinson, to DeSales University’s 34th Annual Poetry Festival on Friday, October 19th. Aliyah was awarded first place for her poem, “The Daughters” and received a four-year, full tuition scholarship as her prize. This is one of the largest poetry scholarships given in the country! Congratulations Aliyah!

2017 Yearbook News

Congratulations to the yearbook staff and students of 2017!  Our yearbook was rated First Place with Distinction from National Scholastic Press Association and that we have been entered into the judging for a Pacemaker Award!!

 That makes the 2017 yearbook our FIRST all GOLD book for Fleetwood Area High School!!

Fleetwood Represents the All-National Orchestra

Fleetwood senior, Marisalley George (pictured on left), performed as part of the All-National Orchestra in Orlando on November 29th, 2017.  Marisalley currently ranks 10th in the nation on the viola, which is a testament to her immense talent, hard work, musical prowess and perseverance.  Fleetwood is so proud of you, Marisalley!

In an effort to aid recent hurricane victims, Fleetwood Area High School Student Council is teaming up with local community organizations to fill buckets of supplies to help victims in their cleanup and rebuilding efforts.

PLEASE DROP OFF AT THE HIGH SCHOOL OFFICE DURING HOMECOMING WEEK (October 2nd to the 6th) or BRING TO THE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME (Saturday, October 7th at 7 pm)

Rho Kappa Induction

Fleetwood Area High School is the first school in Berks County, Pennsylvania, to join Rho Kappa, the Social Studies Honor Society. The induction ceremony was held at the Reading Public Museum on December 11th.  Congratulations to all!

New Procedures for Use of Facilities Requests

Notice to all Use of Facilities Requestors:

Effective January 3, 2018, the district is moving to an online system for requesting use of district facilities.  All requests for the use of any district facility must be made using the School Dude online system.  In order to submit a request, all organizations will be issued a login and password.  You will be able to request a login and password using the community users link below.  After accessing the link, click “Log in to Request Facility Use” in the upper right hand corner of the webpage.  If you do not have a login and password, click “Create One”.  Additional instructions for entering a facility request are available below.  As of February 1, 2018, the district will no longer accept paper forms.  Please contact Heidi Orth at horth@fleetwoodasd.org for additional information or help with the system.
